With each new breaking of the dawn, a whole new world of possibilities is born.
— Miriam Williams

I was driving home one night, watching the sunset and I thought about the beauty of how the sun faithfully sets, and rises, every day and with each new breaking of the dawn, a whole new world of possibilities is born.

My imagination doesn’t like to be confined by reality, so then, I started to think playful thoughts about how a day could start, if we were not bound by science, religion, or by any worldly constraint. I thought, wouldn’t it be amazing if someone could capture the beauty of the Northern Lights and breathe hope and endless possibilities into a jar and deliver this to the East, where the sun ‘traditionally’ rises, to colour in a black and white world, and start a new day.

This is how ‘The Dawn Breakers’ was born in my mind. It is a slow, beautiful story, where the wonder and magic of nature takes centre stage and leaves room for possibilities and hope to grow in your mind. I hope you love The Dawn Breakers and that it inspires children to break out of the confines of their mind and break into their own dawn of possibility.
